St. Francis de Sales - Lansing, Kansas

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lansing is stepping into an exciting new season of parish life through its capital campaign, “Building the Future, One Blessing at a Time.” After a year of prayerful master planning and parish-wide input, the community identified the renewal of Robert Martz Hall as the top priority for this phase. Once the original church and long the heartbeat of parish fellowship, Martz Hall now carries the weight of ministries, faith formation, offices, and gatherings—and it’s ready to be reimagined for the next generation. Fiat Development has partnered with parish leadership to clarify this vision, shape a compelling case for support, and help St. Francis de Sales invite the entire parish into a shared, faith-forward “first step” that honors legacy while building momentum for the future.

The campaign focuses on transforming Martz Hall into a warm, functional, and inspiring hub centered on: Parish Life, Faith Formation, and Function. Plans include an expanded and renovated kitchen for hospitality, new and more accessible restrooms, refreshed finishes throughout, six upgraded classrooms (including a creative transformation of the former altar area), flexible spaces that open for large events, and improved offices for pastoral and staff ministry. Clear giving pathways and a three-year pledge approach make participation realistic for every household, encouraging unity through shared sacrifice. This case statement shows how Fiat Development helps parishes like St. Francis de Sales turn an active need into a hopeful, achievable campaign—one that strengthens community life now and prepares the way for everything still to come.
